New Highway Rocky Point to Yuma.
The new highway connecting Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) to El Golfo de Santa Clara is now open for travel with no construction. The new highway connects Rocky Point directly with San Luis Rio colorado and Yuma. Californians can now travel to Rocky Point in just a few hours. People can cross either through Yuma or Mexicali, take highway 2 east and at the eastern edge of San Luis there are clear signs directing to the new coastal highway toll road. The toll road is $94.00 pesos which is around $7.85 dlls.
Directions to Rocky Point From Phoenix Arizona
1.- Take the I-10 West to the end of town (Buckeye area).
2.- Take Hwy 85 south to Gila Bend, this is the same exit I-8 to San Diego.
3.- You will drive through Gila Bend until you see a McDonald’s. There is turn right before the McDonald’s that is a the continuation of Hwy 85 South (90 more minutes until you get to the border). The border town is called Lukeville.
4.- Follow Hwy 85 straight into Mexico. You will have two turns to make into the town of Sonoyta. Just follow the signs overhead that point to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point).
5.- You now have about another 60 miles before you get to Rocky Point.
Directions to Rocky Point from Tucson Arizona
1.- Take the I-10 West to I-8 (just before Casa Grande).
2.- Take I-8 West to Gila Bend, take the 2nd exit and turn left on Hwy 85 South.
3.- Follow Hwy 85 straight into Mexico, you will have 90 more minutes.
Directions to Rocky Point from California
The new intercoastal highway has been completed. People can cross through either Yuma or Mexicali, take highway 2 East and at the Eastern edge of San Luis there are clean signs directing to the new coastal highway toll road.
